I’m so excited for this month’s room to outfit post, in collaboration with interior designer Claire Staszak of Centered by Design! If you missed the last two, check them out here and here.
I loooove this entryway that Claire designed. It’s modern but I kept thinking 70’s glam with the palm leaves. So for the outfit I went with a crisp white dress with fun accessories (like 70’s-style mules) to mirror the fun wallpaper and blue cabinet.
Shop the look: Dress | Earrings | Bag | Shoes
In my experience, people tend to shy away from wearing white dresses so as not to appear “too bridal”, or they fear that they’ll get too dirty. I am a huge fan of white any time of the year, but especially for spring and summer. Here are some tips to wear white and look fab:
1.) Incorporate other colors with shoes and accessories.
Make sure there is some variation of color with your accessories. You could always go with a tan bag and shoes if you want to remain in neutral colors. In other words, don’t wear ALL white.
2.) Consider the fabric.
You want to make sure white fabric is nice and thick, in order to stay classy. You don’t want anything to be see-through.
3.) Wear appropriate undergarments.
Always wear skin-colored undergarments with white so that you can’t see them through the white fabric.
4.) Carry a Tide To Go stick with you.
These things work wonders if you spill something on your white ensemble. 🙂
